The definition of a spice is a dried seed, fruit, root or bark substance primarily used for flavoring, coloring or preserving food. Many spices have antimicrobial properties, and throughout history have been used for medicinal purposes. To keep up with demand, cheaper alternatives to pure spices are being used. One of the ways to dilute pure spices is by including roots, skins and other ingredients in production of spice powder. Our shoppe only produces pure ground spices from the seed, bark, fruit, or root. You can taste the difference!
